Marvel's Avengers uses THREE talented actors to bring The Hulk & his brilliant human counterpart to life! First up is industry-icon @officialtroybaker who lends his voice & performance to the contemplative Bruce Banner. Troy answered a handful of questions about the role, and touched on his extensive history as a Marvel fan. #FollowFriday Q: If you could have any super power, what would it be & why? A: Definitely control time. That or turning villains into tacos. Because…I mean, tacos. Q: What is your first memory with a Marvel comic book? A: Traveling with my dad on business trips. No matter what town you can always find a comic book store. I’d read as many books as I could before getting caught & being made to choose between lunch or buying the next issue. I’d read it over & over until my dad came back to pick me up Q: What makes Hulk the most “super” & what makes him the most human? A: Super? Clearly the strongest. CLEARLY. THE. STRONGEST. And human? I feel he struggles the most with the duality that inherently comes with being a Super Hero. More than others he considers the human cost and social impact of his actions. Q: Bruce is often overshadowed by his big green alter-ego. How did you approach voicing Bruce Banner, since you had the ability to focus on just this facet of his personality? A: This story is unique. We really focus on who these people ARE, not just the powers they have. Action is in the explosion but drama is found in the aftermath. Playing Bruce in this space allowed me to explore him as a human and the weight he bears by being such a brutal force. Q: How does your portrayal of Bruce Banner differ than that of previous incarnations of this iconic character? A: Bruce sits at the emotional core of our story. His relationships with the characters, which is often tenuous, spotlights his inner struggle. We’ve carefully crafted an arc for Bruce that simultaneously recalls fan favourite storylines and builds upon them.

Next up in our Hulk Week #FollowFriday roster is @darindepaul, the talent behind Hulk’s larger-than-life voice. Using his impressive vocal range, Darin brings nuance to a performance mostly comprised of gamma ray induced outbursts. 𝐐: 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐞 & 𝐰𝐡𝐲? A: If I could have any super power I think mastering the mystic arts would be pretty thrilling. 𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤? A: Fantastic Four #160 in 1970 – The ever-loving blue eyed Thing on the cover fighting Arkon the Annihilator! Bought it going on a trip with my father. Devoured it. Thus started my love affair with all things Marvel. Excelsior! 𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐮𝐥𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 “𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫” & 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧? A: Hulk is the most “super” because is he simply the strongest there is. Incredible raw power. And yet we have seen his loyalty & how he protects his allies. Under the rage is so much heart. 𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐮𝐥𝐤’𝐬 𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞? A: It is acting in its purest form. You lift the character off the page & give it life. And coming from Broadway & musical theatre I learned how to fill a big room with my voice. HULK SMASH VOCAL CORDS! 𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐥’𝐬 𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬? A: I look forward to players getting immersed in the grand story we are telling. I think they are in for some wonderful surprises. And I hope each one finds their own special hero moment.

Last but certainly not least, stuntman @blitzkrieghawx gives Hulk his unstoppable moves – causing mayhem on the motion-capture stage. Read on for his thoughts on playing such a physical character, and personal insights into Hulk’s always-angry demeanor. 𝐐: 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐞 & 𝐰𝐡𝐲? A: Telekinesis. I feel I would be able to cheat in a few other super powers with TK, like flight, and invulnerability. Also, I like to scare my friends, so I’m sure TK would come in handy. 𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤? A: My first Marvel comic book was a birthday present. It was one of “The Incredible Hulk vs. Wolverine” comics. I think I read that comic until it finally disintegrated. 𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐮𝐥𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 “𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫” & 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧? A: Hulk’s almost unlimited strength. He has the potential to be truly unstoppable. Human: If anger comes from fear, you realize Hulk is always afraid. When you look at him in that light, his actions are both heroic and heartbreaking 𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐮𝐥𝐤? A: Hulk is such a physical character. I loved running around the studio pretending to wreck everything, & the sets and props we used were minimal, so we had to use a lot of imagination. Most fun I’ve had on set, ever. Incredible! 😉 𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐥’𝐬 𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬? A: The Campaign. It’s an all new adventure written especially for the game. While doing MoCap, I was excited to see the direction we were headed, and can’t wait to see how it unfolds.
